Credit Card Shenanigans; Stop Talking and Start Fixing

These are moments that drive me crazy.  When government knows that there is something wrong and does nothing about it for years and years and then during an election year it comes roaring to the forefront.  I am talking about the bullsh.t that credit card companies have gotten away with for years, the practice of increasing your interest rate even if you make your payments on time, every time.

I know it is crap, you know it is crap and our elected representatives know it is crap yet they have done nothing about it and then in an election year(s) here we come with the committee meetings where ordinary Americans waste their time, my time and your time talking to Congress about how wrong it is when Congress already knows this but God forbid they don't get their face time on TV telling us how much they care.

Hey boys and girls in Congress I know for the most part you could care less what I think but please don't insult my intelligence with these committee hearings just introduce legislation and fix the damn problem.

Arrest Was Wrong

The arrest of James Bust a high school teacher in Milwaukee for posting this quote, praising the Columbine massacre killers on a conservative Wisconsin blog, "They knew how to deal with the overpaid teacher union thugs. One shot at a time!", was wrong, wrong and wrong.  Even with the added idiocy of saying they should be remembered as heroes.

Now before my fellow conservatives freak out on me I want to let you know that I used to work in Denver and was in my office watching it on TV knowing it was going down just a few miles away.  What is important to understand is this teacher is a total jacka.., a complete idiot and should absolutely not be teaching our children.  That being said I am scared to death that he was arrested, it is just one step closer to a police state where your thoughts, however asinine cannot be heard.

I would rather have ten thousand idiots like him saying crazy things like that then not be able to criticize my leaders.  Our way of life is unique, rare and precious, let James Bust be heard, however painful it is so we can all be heard.

Bush Take Credit Please!

President Bush is not dumb but I am beginning to think his advisors and speech writers might be.  Today was a golden opportunity for the President to give himself a big slap on the back.  The new just released intelligence report clearly states that Iran had a nuclear program and halted it in the fall of 2003.  The quote should have been something along the lines of "My administration was successful in forcing Iran to halt its nuclear program, their fear of our reprisal was sufficient for them to stop their quest for nuclear weapons capabilities."  Instead we get "I view this report as a warning signal that they had the program, they halted the program," Bush said. "The reason why it's a warning signal is they could restart it."

An open letter to the President;

Dear Mr. President ,

Please get more aggressive with your answers this was a big win for you and your foreign affairs policies.  We need you to be strong and clear and we need to hear you shout from the rooftops when things go right, because if you don't we may just head left and that is not a road we can afford to go down.

God Bless You,

DL - Citizen

Are You Kidding Me?!

The British teacher has arrived home from the cess pool of a country called Sudan only to quip that she was "very upset to think that I might have caused offense to people."  She then went on to say "It has been an ordeal but I'd like want you to know that I was well-treated in prison and everybody was very kind to me."  It gets even better as she continues with, "I was very sorry to leave Sudan. I had a fabulous time there. It's a really lovely place, and I managed to see some of the beautiful countryside while I was there."  The piece de resistance was this quote that she did not want her experience "to put anyone off going to Sudan — in fact I know of a lovely school that needs a new Year Two teacher."  Are you kidding me?  Your right I am actually multi-tasking by writing my blog and booking my Christmas vacation to Sudan thru Orbitz!  Come on, please!

I am sure everyone was very kind to her, I guess except for the angry, psychotic mob out front that wanted to tear her limb from limb, behead her, burn her body and then drag her remains through the streets.  Yes Islam is truly a peaceful religion, no doubt about it.  I can only imagine what would have happened if she had named her breasts Muhammad and Muhammad.  They probably would have cut those off and then torn her limb from limb, beheaded her, etc.  you get the picture.

In fact I am starting to agree with her, perhaps a career change is right for me and they do have an open teaching position, umm?  This woman is clearly insane, I am glad she was unharmed but her ludicrous comments do minimize what was a prime example of Islamic extremism.  When commenting on her her thoughts about the 'crime' she was charged with she had this to say; "I don't think I really know enough about it to comment really. It's a very difficult area and a very delicate area."  What?!  I don't know enough, how about these people are clearly crazy and they should spend less time thinking about what a teddy bear is named and more time working on indoor plumbing!

Back to the most critical point of this outrageous example of Islamofascism, the sentence from the Associated Press article by Robert Barr that states that "Muslim scholars generally agree that intent is a key factor in determining if someone has violated Islamic rules against insulting the prophet. ", proves the point that the vast majority of Muslims have little or no outrage over this incident.  The only thing the Muslim scholars can say is a ridiculous discourse on how intent is the key to whether a violation has occurred, c'mon!  Where are the calls from Muslim scholars denouncing this evil, hateful behavior!  What is wrong with this religion?  I know, do you?

Islam's a SHAM

It has become quite clear to me that the religion of Islam is a SHAM.  That is to say it is a Shameful, Hateful, Aggressive and Malevolent religion.

The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for me is the current Sudanese/British teacher crisis.  I am shocked at how such an innocent situation could be viewed as an offense requiring death by hanging.  Their government pardoned her, which was of course the right thing to do, but how it came to be that she was arrested in the first place boggles the mind.

I am dismayed that the teacher has come out publicly to say that she hopes she has not caused distress for anyone and that she respects Islam.  I am hopeful that she said those things only because she was still on their blood-stained soil

I want to be clear; I have no respect for the religion of Islam and at the same time I have the utmost respect for good and decent people who believe in Islam.  I am a Christian first and foremost; I am an American, and as both I respect all peaceful people in their choices to worship or their choices not to worship at all.

I believe strongly that Islam fosters hate, intolerance, and domination.  It is a false-god religion.  What screams the loudest to me are not the headline stories of Islamic extremists, it is the deafening silence of their religious leaders to come out against these extremists; to publicly fight for their religion, their people, and their nations.  Make no mistake about it we are in a war for the ages, if we win there will be peace, if not then...
